Join Toledo’s New Grant Committee and Make a Difference!
The City of Toledo is seeking dedicated individuals to join the newly established Grant Committee. This committee, formed under Resolution No. 309A, will play a critical role in enhancing the city’s ability to identify, apply for, and manage grant opportunities.
Purpose of the Grant Committee:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities for City projects and programs.
- Assist City staff in preparing and submitting grant applications.
- Ensure alignment of grant proposals with the City’s goals and priorities.
- Monitor compliance with grant requirements and financial reporting.
- Provide recommendations to the City Council regarding grant activities.
Membership Composition:
The committee will consist of a minimum of four members, including:
- Two City Council Members.
- The City Clerk/Treasurer or their designee.
- Up to one citizen representative with experience in grant writing, project management, or a related field.
Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Terms are set for two years.
Meeting Details:
The committee will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 4:00 PM in the Toledo Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public in compliance with the Washington State Open Public Meetings Act (RCW 42.30).
