Are you great with numbers, passionate about fiscal responsibility, or interested in supporting your community’s financial health? If so, the City of Toledo invites you to join our Finance Committee!
What’s the Finance Committee All About?
The Finance Committee is a team dedicated to ensuring Toledo’s financial well-being. This group will:
- Review the City’s financial reports, budgets, and expenditures.
- Provide recommendations on financial policies, priorities, and procedures.
- Help prepare and review the City’s annual budget.
- Promote transparency and accountability in managing City funds.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for sound financial practices.
Who Can Join?
We’re looking for people who:
- Have experience or an interest in finance, accounting, or budgeting.
- Want to collaborate and contribute to the financial success of Toledo.
The committee includes:
- Two City Council Members.
- The City Clerk/Treasurer (or their designee).
- Up to two citizen representatives with expertise in finance or related fields.
- One City employee with insight into the City’s financial operations.
When and Where?
The committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 4:00 PM in the Toledo Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public and prioritize accessibility and transparency.
